Everyone interested in tentmaking should plan to come to Lisbon, Portugal this Easter. The tentmaking gathering Tent is arranging contains teaching on several subjects that will be helpful for tentmakers. In addition there will be great opportunities for taking time off and enjoying the Easter celebration in the capital of Portugal.

On the program you’ll find teaching on how to feed yourself from the Bible. There will also be sessions on how to present the gospel to people from a variety of cultural backgrounds. Participants from several countries will make this a real international event. All the teaching will be done in English.

 

The speakers at this event are experienced tentmakers and mission workers. Among the speakers you’ll find:

Berit Helgoy Kloster who is a board member in Tent and a senior associate for tentmakers in the Lausanne Movement

Antonio Rudolpho who is a Brazilian tentmaker living in Portugal

Jan Opsal who is working as a lecturer at the Missions Academy in Stavanger

Fleicity Bentley-Taylor who has worked among students in Chile in Bolivia for more than 30 years

 

The event is held at the ABLA in Caravelos just outside Lisbon. There are great opportunities for sightseeing and shopping in the centre’s neighborhood.

The teaching section of the program contains sessions on several tentmaking issues. Experienced teachers will share their thoughts on how we can present the Gospel to people from different religious backgrounds. The program starts in the evening of Saturday March 15th and ends after breakfast on Saturday march 22nd.

 

Course fee: 200,- Euro.

Accommodation:  250,- Euro

Breakfast is included in the price for accommodation. In addition to these prices each participants will have to pay for sightseeing and extra meals. Lunch/Dinner at ABLA cost approx 8,- Euro.

 

Each participant will have to find their own way to Lisbon. Tent will organize for everyone to be picked up at the airport. Your latest time for arrival should be in the afternoon of March 15^th. The return tickets should not have a departure time earlier than in the afternoon of March 22^nd.  Everyone can extend their stay at ABLA either before or after the gathering. Tent will book the extra nights as soon as you inform us about your arrival and departure times.
